  Overhead Ground Wire with Optical Fiber (OPGW)

Structure Characteristics

  • Layer-stranding with optical fiber in stainless steel tube
  • Central tube with optical fiber in aluminium tube
  • Armoring with aluminium alloy wire and aluminium clad steel wire
  • Wire layers coated with anticorrosive jelly

Applying Properties

  • Upgrading existing ground wires or as ground wires of new high-voltage power line
  • Providing lightning protection and conducting fault short-circuit current
  • Having function of optical fiber communication
